  • Practice 1 Results

The Pirelli GT4 America field took to a dry VIRginia International Raceway early Friday afternoon for Practice 1, setting the tone for what promises to be a competitive weekend across all three classes.

With strong performances across the board, it was ACI Motorsports’ Riley Dickinson who topped the overall timesheets and the Pro-Am class in the No. 7 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Zac Anderson led the way in Silver driving the No. 52 AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4, while Allen Patten put Thunder Bunny Racing on top in Am in the No. 606 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Silver Class

Zac Anderson wasted no time asserting himself in the Silver class, putting the No. 52 AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4 on top early in the session. He remained there all the way to the checkered flag, with nobody else in class able to contest his rapid time. Behind him, Max Hewitt and Gresham Wagner exchanged fast laps in a close fight for second and third in class.

In the closing minutes, Braydon Arthur made a late push to grab P2 in class on board the No. 4 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO, with Hewitt settling into third in his No. 39 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO, bumping Wagner in fourth in the No. 68 RAFA Racing Team Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2 as the top Silver runners kept things tight throughout the session.

Pro-Am Class

Matheus Leist set the early benchmark in Pro-Am, and overall, behind the wheel of the No. 23 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Leist held that spot for much of the session until the final five minutes, when Riley Dickinson surged to the top, clocking the fastest overall time and taking over P1 in class in the No. No. 7 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

Ryan Yardley also made a late-session charge in the sister No. 25 ACI Motorsports entry, moving into second overall and in Pro-Am, bumping Leist to third and securing a 1-2 finish for the team.

Am Class

Thunder Bunny Racing's Allen Patten led the way in Am, setting the pace for most of the session with his No. 606 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2. Local favorites Charlie Postins and James Clay looked comfortable at their home track, placing second in the No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO entry.

The battle for third in Am was a close one, with Random Vandals Racing teammates Paul Sparta and Michael Kanisczak ultimately securing the final top-three spot in class with the No. 98 BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO.
