Dome Motorsport has confirmed that the team will be running an updated driver lineup for Rounds 6 and 7 of the Pirelli GT4 America season at VIRginia International Raceway. Full-season driver Marc Miller will be partnering alongside Nate Cicero in the No. 37 Mercedes-AMG GT4, and the pairing is set to compete in the Silver class.
The change comes following the decision from Team Owner and driver Edward Killeen to step back in order to address a suspected injury sustained away from the track.
“Following an evaluation with my physician, we determined that it would be best for me to sit this one out in order to avoid taking any risks. So that’s where we’re at. We have been talking to Nate Cicero, who is a great young driver, and we had him out with us for testing last week. He knows the track very well, as well as the Mercedes-AMG platform. He will be running with us in the Silver class alongside Marc for VIR and we’ll continue to evaluate from there. It's not optimal for me, but it's a great opportunity to get him behind the wheel with Marc and see what we can do.”
“I have worked with Nate here during the tests and I echo Ed’s feeling about him,” added Marc Miller. “He did really well, he’s a very good driver, and we’ll be doing all we can together to go out there and attack to show what we can accomplish as a team. I think we have a great platform and a great group of team members here. This is a testament to Ed's commitment to racing in SRO America and putting good cars on track. We look forward to rising to the challenge.”
