Power British/American driver trio of Adrian Kunzle, Steven Aghakhani and Kevin Madsen suit up to tackle Mount Panorama in a Mclaren Artura GT4 with Supercar Champion Chaz Mostert’s Method Motorsport Team.
Method Motorsport is set to return to Mount Panorama this weekend with a formidable British and American lineup, aiming to defend its 2025 GT4 class victory at the iconic Bathurst 12 Hour. Fielding the McLaren Artura GT4 with the support of multiple partners, the team brings together Adrian Kunzle, Steven Aghakhani, and Kevin Madsen for one of the most prestigious endurance races on the
global calendar.
The Bathurst 12 Hour, held at the legendary Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, represents one of the crown jewels of international GT racing. With its high-speed straights, unforgiving concrete walls, and dramatic elevation changes, “The Mountain” demands precision, discipline, and outright pace.
Adrian Kunzle, a multiple race winner in SRO GT2 America last year, enters the weekend eager for the challenge:
“Very excited for this opportunity to race such an iconic track,” said Kunzle. “I’m really looking forward to getting to drive the McLaren with Method Motorsport and Kevin and Steven.”
Steven Aghakhani returns to SRO competition, following a full season in GT World Challenge America in 2022 and his 2024 VP SportsCar Challenge LMP3 championship campaign. The young Californian is energized by the opportunity to compete at Bathurst for the first time:
“It feels awesome to have another SRO race opportunity, let alone racing at a place that carries so much history,” said Aghakhani. “I have to thank Kevin and Adrian for the call, my father for getting a sponsor onboard in Chartered International LLP, and the Method Motorsport team for welcoming me. Super excited to see what we can put together in the McLaren after taking some time off after the LMP3 championship win.”
Kevin Madsen, a race-winning Mclaren Trophy driver in Europe as well as pace-setter in Mclaren Trophy America last year, brings both enthusiasm and confidence into the weekend:
“We’re racing down under, baby! And we’re doing it in a sexy McLaren Artura GT4, with partners Prime Security, Chartered International LLP, and others,” said Madsen. Mozzie (Chaz Mostert) is a good buddy and has a fantastic team in Method Motorsport. I’m glad we finally made this happen together. Adrian just came off another superb endurance race weekend stateside where he qualified us on the front row of a 30-car field. Steven has been an adaptable and wicked fast driving champion from the very start of his career both in SRO and elsewhere. I can’t think of a better lineup to go attack the Mountain with! Very thankful to have them and all the support from my friends at McLaren.”
Method Motorsport Team Owner Chaz Mostert emphasized the significance of returning as defending GT4 class winners and the strength of the 2026 driver lineup:
“It’s an honour for the team to be back this year to try and defend the crown at the Bathurst 12 Hour after winning last year’s GT4 class. We’re pumped to have Adrian, Steven and Kevin join our team for Australia’s greatest endurance race, and we’re looking forward to arming them with our McLaren Artura GT4. In collaboration with Madsen Motorsports, it’s an exciting year and we can’t wait to roll out for Practice 1.”
Backed by partners Prime Security and Chartered International LLP, along with additional commercial supporters, the team enters the weekend with momentum, experience, and a shared objective: conquer Mount Panorama.
Practice begins Friday ahead of Sunday’s 12-hour endurance classic. Follow along via the GT World Channel on Youtube as well as other broadcasts from SRO.
