Pirelli GT4 America qualifying delivered two action-packed fifteen-minute sessions at Road America to set the starting grids for Races 1 and 2 in the Crown Coins Casino GT World event.
In Silver class, JMF Motorsports’ Mike David Ortmann took class honors in Q1, while Tyler Gonzalez secured the top spot and overall pole for RAFA Racing Team in Q2. Pro-Am saw ACI Motorsports’ Riley Dickinson go quickest in class and overall in Q1, with Matheus Leist leading the charge for NOLASPORT in Q2. In the Am category, BimmerWorld’s James Clay delivered a pole position performance in the first session, followed by Random Vandals Racing’s Darius Trinka topping the charts in the second.
Silver Class
Qualifying 1
Mike David Ortmann topped the Silver charts in the No. 4 JMF Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO, claiming second place overall in the process. It was a strong showing for the Silver class as teammate Jesse Webb secured second in the No. 3 sister car, with Luca Mars close behind in the No. 39 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO.
Qualifying 2
Tyler Gonzalez was the clear frontrunner for the entirety of the session, setting the fastest lap in class and overall for Race 2 in the No. 68 RAFA Racing Team Toyota Supra. Jonathan Neudorf added to JMF Motorsports’ strong showing, placing the No. 3 machine on the front row to start second overall. Kenton Koch rounded out the top three in class and overall in the No. 97 Random Vandals Racing BMW.
Pro-Am Class
Qualifying 1
Riley Dickinson made a statement by clinching both the Pro-Am and overall pole position in the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. He edged out teammate Loek Hartog in the sister No. 9 ACI entry, while Marc Miller, who was fastest in both practice sessions on Friday in the No. 37 Dome Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4, rounded out the top three.
Qualifying 2
Matheus Leist was quickest in Pro-Am, setting the fifth-fastest overall time in the No. 23 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Tyler McQuarrie placed second in class in the No. 82 BimmerWorld Racing BMW M4 GT4, with Josh Green completing the top three in the No. 94 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4.
Am Class
Qualifying 1
James Clay secured the Am class pole in Q1 in the No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 EVO. Laura Hayes kept Thunder Bunny Racing in the fight with second in the No. 606 BMW, followed by Anthony Geraci in third aboard the No. 72 RAFA Racing Team Toyota.
Qualifying 2
Darius Trinka delivered an impressive performance in the No. 98 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO, claiming first in class and ninth overall for Race 2. Kenny Schmied moved the No. 72 Toyota up the order to start second in class, while Allen Patten secured another top-three starting spot for the No. 606 BMW.
