- Toyota Quickest in Silver Class
- Mercedes Tops the Charts Overall and in Pro-Am
- BMW Fastest in Am Class
- Results Practice 2
Friday afternoon’s second practice session brought a mix of interruptions and late-session fireworks for the 25-car Pirelli GT4 America field at Road America. Just 10 minutes into the 45-minute run, a red flag halted progress, forcing teams down pit lane. Once the track went green again with 20 minutes to go, the pace ramped up quickly, with positions shuffling across all three classes right up until the final laps.
Silver Class
The Silver fight started with Tyler Gonzalez putting the No. 68 RAFA Racing Team Toyota Supra at the top of the overall charts, only to be eclipsed shortly after the restart by Random Vandals Racing’s Kenton Koch. VPX Motorsports’ Alex Ellis then joined the mix, taking third in class in the No. 77 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, while Zac Anderson slotted into fourth in the No. 52 AutoTechnic BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO.
In the final five minutes, Gonzalez surged back to P1 overall, but the Silver contender ultimately settled for second on the overall leaderboard behind a Pro-Am entry.
Pro-Am Class
The Pro-Am category was a revolving door at the top. Michael Auriemma initially looked set to lock down the fastest time in the No. 23 NOLASPORT Porsche, running third overall and splitting the Silver runners with 10 minutes left.
ACI Motorsports then launched a late-session charge, with Riley Dickinson taking the top Pro-Am spot in one of the team’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports, followed closely by Loek Hartog in the sister car. But the final word belonged to Marc Miller in the No. 37 Dome Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4, who leapt to the very top overall and in class on the final flying lap, a mere 0.015 faster than the second.
Am Class
The Am runners made their presence known, with Paul Sparta and Darius Trinka putting the No. 98 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO at the head of the class and tenth overall. Allen Patten and Laura Hayes came within just 0.095 seconds in the No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing BMW, while BimmerWorld’s James Clay and Charlie Postins completed the top three in the No. 36 BMW M4 GT4.
