The best GT and touring car racing returns to Road America next week for the Crown Coins Casino GT World event, and SRO America is kicking off the festivities with one of the most beloved traditions of the race weekend: the GT Parade and Welcome Party, taking place in the heart of Elkhart Lake on Thursday, August 14th starting at 5:30 PM CT.
The full field, including all the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, GT America, Pirelli GT4 America, TC America, Toyota GR Cup, and McLaren Trophy cars will roll into the streets of Elkhart Lake in a show-stopping parade, escorted from the paddock directly into town center, delivering a unique, up-close experience for fans of all ages. At the center of the celebration is the Welcome Party, hosted at the iconic Siebkens Tavern.
Visitors can take in the sights and sounds of race-prepped elite machinery, explore the supercar display, enjoy offerings from local vendors, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers.
The driver autograph session will take place from 5:45 to 6:15 PM with drivers located at their race car, giving fans a chance to snag signatures and photos with the rising young talents of the paddock to the renowned international champions.
Adding to the energy of the evening, live music will fill the scene courtesy of Jake Pedersen and his band JakDel, setting the soundtrack for a lively summer night. The event is set to deliver the perfect prelude to a weekend of racing at America’s National Park of Speed.
