ACI Motorsports, Auto Technic Racing and Bimmerworld Racing Pace Practice 2 at Sebring

High heat and fast laps scorched Sebring International Raceway circuit as nearly 30 Pirelli GT4 America competitors took to the 3.74-mile circuit for Practice 2. BMW led two of the three classes, with Porsche going quickest overall.

ACI Motorsports’ Dan Sibille made a late attempt at a flying lap, claiming the fastest overall timing of the session. The Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 commanded by Zac Anderson went fastest early on, as BimmerWorld Racing topped the Am charts thanks to a lap by Charlie Postins.

Silver Class

Three different manufacturers led the Silver class, with BMW, Porsche and Toyota rounding off the top 3 in the session. An early fast lap from Zac Anderson, sharing the No. 52 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO with Colin Garrett, stood as the best time of the session at 2:12.240.

That time was exactly 0.1 of a second quicker than the No. 77 VPX Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Danny Dyszelski and Alex Ellis, with the No. 68 RAFA Racing Team Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Tyler Gonzalez and Gresham Wagner in third.

Pro-Am Class

Dan Sibille claimed the fastest overall and Pro-Am time with a last-lap flyer in the No. 9 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, ending just ahead of the team’s sister car, the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Riley Dickinson and Curt Swearingin. Dickinson’s 2:11.879 lap set 18 minutes into the session appeared the likely pacesetter, but on the 16th and final lap of the session, the No. 9 car laid down a 2:10.739 flyer.

Josh Green led the opening minutes of the session with several steadily improving laps in the No. 94 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO he shared with Sam Craven. He fell to fourth, after a move forward by Matheus Leist in the No. 23 NOLASPORT Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport he shared with Michael Auriemma. Leist closed within 0.077 of a second of Dickinson.

Am Class

The No. 36 BimmerWorld BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO of James Clay and Charlie Postins shot to the top of the Am class from the opening minutes of the session and stayed there until the checkered flag. Clay lapped the track at 2:12.627, with his best time nearly half a second clear of second place.  The No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2 of Allen Patten and Laura Hayes was second ahead of the No. 98 Random Vandals Racing BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO of Paul Sparta and Michael Kanisczak.
