Nissan’s customer teams concluded the 2024 SRO Motorsports America season at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where Nissan Z NISMO GT4 racers delivered standout performances. Weekend highlights include Damir Hot’s two podium finishes in the GT America races, along with his GT4 Rookie of the Year award.
“2024 marked our sophomore season with the GT4 program, and thanks to our teams’ efforts, we’re now competing head-to-head with Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin, Mercedes AMG, McLaren, and Toyota,” said Mike Carcamo, program director, Sports Cars, NISMO Cars and Motorsports, Nissan Motor Corporation. “With our first series win and over a dozen podium finishes this season, Nissan and NISMO thank everyone at Flying Lizard Motorsports, TechSport Racing and Blackdog Racing for their dedication. We look forward to challenging for the championship in 2025.”
The Indianapolis weekend kicked off with a Wednesday evening tech talk at Andy Mohr Avon Nissan for the Indy Z Car Club and the SAE Indiana section. At the track, Nissan entertained fans with a new product display, racing simulators and motorsports trivia.
Nissan was represented throughout the 2024 Pirelli GT4 America and GT America series by three championship-caliber teams fielding four Nissan Z NISMO GT4 race cars.
