GT4 Manufacturers Championship Post-Sebring Points Update

GT4 Manufacturers Championship Post-Sebring Points Update

There has been a staggering total of 33 rounds spanning across America, Asia, Australia, and Europe contributing to the Global GT4 Manufacturers Championship, with packed grids and thrilling action taking place across all parts of the world.

BMW has taken firm hold over the top spot on the leaderboard, further extending their lead following the consecutive rounds at Circuit Zandvoort and Sebring International Raceway. They now sit at 674 points, putting them substantially ahead in the fight, but with so many events still to come, the title remains up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Porsche, Toyota, and Aston Martin are all separated by the slimmest margin, having accumulated 477, 429, and 425 points, respectively. With no room for error between them, and many races coming up quickly, the order could change swiftly and drastically.

BMW

Random Vandals Racing confidently stole the show in Sebring, scoring double victories in Race 1 in Florida as they claimed the top spot in the Silver and Pro-Am classes. BimmerWorld made it a triple BMW win as they took home first in the Am class.

With other BMW teams also filling positions on the podium, including Auto Technic Racing (Silver) and Fast Track Racing (Am), it was a very strong points haul from the get-go.

This was followed by further victories in Race 2, with Random Vandals Racing and BimmerWorld going back-to-back yet again, repeating their dominant performances from the day prior. Similarly, Auto Technic Racing and Fast Track Racing did the same with their respective third-place finishes as well.

Porsche

Porsche sits second in the standings, and remains just ahead of the next two manufacturers, Toyota and Aston Martin, who are in hot pursuit. Although there were multiple Porsche teams that finished just shy of the podium in both races, including 2024 Pro-Am champions ACI Motorsports, the manufacturer ultimately left the Sunshine State empty handed in Pirelli GT4 America. This enabled others to make gains in the global standings.

Toyota

JTR Motorsports Engineering paved the way for Toyota in the Pro-Am category at Sebring, as Parker Thompson and Anthony McIntosh made double visits to the podium. The duo wrapped up their weekend with a second and third-place finish in the No. 69 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

Similarly, in the Am class, Thunder Bunny Racing made great strides with their No. 606 entry, as Laura Hayes and Allen Pattern picked up their first podium results of the season, finishing as the runner-up in both rounds.

Finally, in the Silver class, Tyler Gonzalez and Gresham Wagner wrapped up their time at the historic circuit with a P2 result in Race 2 in the No. 68 machine.
